I want to make Delia’s cottage pie with cheese crusted leeks. Can I do it in advance ie a few hours before final cooking.
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, Yes, it can be made in advance and kept covered in the fridge for a couple of days, or made earlier in the day you intend to serve it as you suggest.
Please recommend alternative cheese for pancake cannelloni recipe - not blue cheese. Thank you
Answered by Lindsey: Hello Gruyère, feta, goats’ cheese, Lancashire or cheddar would all work well.
I would like to scale up the carrot cake recipe to a 25cm tin. How do I do this please?
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, I would do 1 ½ times the recipe. The sponges will probably need to be baked for 40 minutes.
Hi, in Delia's recipe for Lemon and Lime Refrigerator cake it states that you need a 2lb loaf tin but the link to the Silverwood loaf tin is for a 1lb loaf tin - which is the one to use for the recipe? Thanks Helena Roberts
Answered by Lindsey: Hello Helena. Sorry for any confusion! The Silverwood 1lb loaf tin is so called because it was designed to make a 1lb loaf of baker’s bread but is equivalent to a traditional boxed style 2lb loaf tin It is approximately 19 x 12 cm x 9 cm deep and has a capacity of about 1250mls. We’ve had our Silverwood tins since 2012 when we tested all the cake book recipes. They are very well used, and still as good as new.
Can I reheat pre-cooked Gammon slices in an air fryer
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, Yes you can. I would wrap them well in foil to prevent them drying out, and you could put a couple of tablespoons of stock or even water in with them to keep the gammon moist.
Good afternoon, is the Recipe for the semolina shortbread actually gluten free?
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, Not as is, no. There is a note at the bottom of the recipe which says… If you would like to make this recipe gluten free, substitute both the plain flour and the semolina with gluten free flour.
