Iced Honey and Spice Cake

Delia recommends this cake for an afternoon tea in the garden, but with ingredients including cloves, cinnamon and ginger giving a depth to the flavour, it's also a perfect cake for a cold afternoon. Or for anyone who is hardy enough to be outdoors in January!

It's an easy sponge cake, which is cooled then covered with a simple icing and decorated with little pieces of crystallised ginger.
