This recipe is from Delia's Cakes.
It’s the dates (as in the famous pudding) that give this dark, sticky cake its toffee flavour, which is complemented beautifully by the fudge-flavoured icing.

Is it possible to make the sticky toffee loaf cake, but bake as cup cakes?
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, I haven’t done a test on this but it is quite a wet batter, so I’d say – yes possible but I wouldn’t. Kind regards Lindsey
I am unable to buy Golden Icing Sugar locally. Would I be able to use normal or fondant icing sugar for the fudge icing on The Sticky toffee Loaf Cake Lindsay.
Answered by Lindsey: Hello, You can use white icing sugar, but it will be pale in colour. You could add a drop of gravy browning to enhance the colour if you want. Kind regards Lindsey
