Making a smaller Irish Whiskey Cake

Re. Half quantities: Delia's Irish Whiskey Christmas Cake

I don't want to stop using this recipe but it's too big for our Christmas now. Would you recommend attempting half quantities and if so what size tin?

If I am going for half quantity would 3 medium eggs be half of 5 large?

I see your answer to another community member about the classic cake in a 2lb loaf tin and I've considered that but worry it would dome too much.

Hello,

I think a 2 large egg recipe will work in a 6 inch round (or 5 inch square) or a 3 large egg recipe in a 7 inch round (or 6 inch square).
