Making a half size Creole Christmas Cake

I want to make half the creole cake as there's not going to be that many of us this Christmas, are there any tips on doing this and the cake coming out right?

Hello,

We make half x the recipe in a 6-inch round tin. 

Bake in the centre of the oven at 140C (Conventional heat) for 2 hours then covered with parchment and baked for 50 minutes to 1 hour more.
