We’re finishing 2025 on a high note with a show-stopping favourite that deserves centre stage.

This is a classic baked chocolate cheesecake made with dark chocolate, silky mascarpone, fruit and nuts. One of the secrets to this recipe’s flawless finish is patience. As with all great baked cheesecakes, it’s cooled slowly in a switched-off oven to prevent cracking and ensure a smooth result. This means it's an excellent make-ahead dessert, ideal for stress-free New Year entertaining. The chocolate curls will give a lovely final flourish, then serve with creme fraiche or pouring cream.
